Over 100 years ago J. Arthur Thompson, a professor at the University of Aberdeen addressed the British Medical Association conference, drawing attention to the healing powers of Nature and asking
”What then do I mean by the healing powers of nature? I mean to refer to the way in which Nature ministers to our minds, all more or less diseased by the rush and racket of civilisation, and helps to steady and enrich our lives”.
He continued
”That the healing power of Nature is also that associated with mindful contact with the animate and inanimate natural portions of the outdoor environment”.
A hundred years later and the rush and racket has grown, the pace of life accelerating and the impact of life’s stresses leading to illness, anxiety and stress.
We help you manage your own wellbeing through mindful contact with nature. We teach nature based mindfulness programmes to individuals, groups and organisations, helping you deal with whatever is going on in your life, helping provide a sense of wellbeing and resilience
